December 10-12, 2001

Last event of Centre BIZKON in 2001 was a seminar ”Finance questions in cooperation between Russia and Finland”. Co-organizer of this seminar is one of the participants Centre BIZKON Bank "Bankirsky Dom". More than 50 chiefs and experts have taken part in a seminar: from St.-Petersburg (CNII KM Prometey, plant ALMAZ, Educacentre, LenTisiz and others) and from Finland (Region Kotka Őŕěčíŕ, Lawyer office R.Kantola, Nordea-bank, Finnvera etc.). The seminar has passed in 2 stages: the first stage - 10.12.01 - in city Kotka, second - 11-12.12.01- in Helsinki.

December 11, 2001

The meeting of the St.-Petersburg and Finnish initiative group was held at the Helsinki Centre of female business. There were discussed the questions on development of female business and of the joint project with financing on a line TACIS. The Russian delegation was headed by the President of the Russian association "Woman and business " Chubatiuk L.

November 28-30, 2001

The seminar - meeting of working group "Non-traditional" energy was held in Kotka . Theare were discussed the questions of operation of microhydroelectric power station of firm "INSET" in Finland. The problems of cooperation of the St.-Petersburg and Finnish firms were discussed also in the field of creation wind energy plants and biofuel energy plants. The delegation from St.-Petersburg was headed by the chief of working group - academician Danilevich J.

November 14,2001

The events devoted 175-Years JSC "Proletarian plant" have passed in the Russian House of science and culture in Helsinki.A press conference of the general director Pashkevich I., seminar with reports of the experts of a factory were organized. The purpose of organization of this event in Finland - to present a factory and to make active the contacts to the Finnish firms.

November 13,2001

The extended meeting of working groups in Helsinki on shipbuilding and shipping has passed. The questions of cooperation and beginning of the new project on ecological safety of the Baltic sea were considered. The representatives from Finland (Environment Ministry, Centre VTT, Environment Department of region Kotka - Hamina etc.) and from St.-Petersburg (JSC "Sudmash", Concern "Elektroecotechnology", JSC "OZON", CNII KM "Prometey")have taken part in meeting (20 experts).

September 19-22, 2001

St.-Petersburg Business Contact Centre (BIZKON) and Finnish-Russian trade chamber have organized a seminar and have presented the industrial enterprises of St.-Petersburg on collective stands during the international exhibition in Tampere "Subcontracting-2001". Vice-president of committee of economy and industrial politic Mr.E.Grishpun has headed the St.-Petersburg delegation. The enterprises submitted on the collective stand of the Centre BIZKON (Proletarsky plant, "Prometey", "Peterburgvneshtrans", "Experimental plant") have received many new interesting inquiries. It was as a result of this business trip - Agreement about future cooperation between BIZKON (Kotka, Turku) and St.-Petersburg Subcontracting Centre (general director Mr.S.Kamenkov was a member of the delegation).
 

September 11-15, 2001

There was a famous event in St.-Petersburg business-contact Centre's activities: New St.-Petersburg business-contact Centre BIZKON-Turku was opened during the traditional "St.-Petersburg Days in Turku". This Centre was added to BIZKON-Kotka which was founded more than two years ago. Major of Turku Mr.R.Lahonittu and Deputy Governor of St.-Petersburg Mr.G.Tkachev presented on this ceremony. Mrs.Kirsti Pakkala was appointed as a chief manager of the new Centre. The office of this Centre is situated in TAD-Centre building. BIZKON-Turku will work in connection with BIZKON-Kotka. So BIZKON network is increased. All participants of the Centre BIZKON-Kotka automatically are the participants of BIZKON-Turku. The exhibition of St.-Petersburg enterprises (participants of BIZKON Centres) took place during these days also (BIOTECH, Impuls systems, Petrolazer, Experimental Work, Karment, Projectservice, Rubin and others). There were also two seminars: Transport and Biotechnologies.
 

June 4-7, 2001

There were two events in Kotka. These events were connected with 2-th anniversary of Centre BIZKON opening. 5 June - it was an international seminar "Transfer the technologies and innovations". 6 June - it was a set an micro-hydro-power station (5 kwt) in exploitation. This set took place in Palvanjarvi (40 km from Kotka). Hydro-power equipment was delivered to Finland by St.-Petersburg company INSET through BIZKON Centre. More than 100 official representatives and directors from St.-Peterburg, Vyborg, Helsinki, Turku, Tallinn and others took participance in these events. General council of Finland in St.-Petersburg Mr.Kauko Iamsen attended the opening a new Micro-hydro-power station in Palvanjarvi.

May 21 - 24, 2001

Seminar "New technologies in renovation and repairs of the old building was spent together with education-research finnish company "CT-Centre" in Kotka. There were 20 directors of the construction and renovation St.-Petersburg companies and also the chief specialists of the Russian museum and Pavlovsk ensemble. Deputy of the chief St.-Petersburg architect I.Polenov was a chief of St.-Petersburg delegation. There were reports, discussions, visits to the laboratories and new constructions. The decision about the joint preparing TACIS-applications (with financing from EU) is a main result of this seminar.

May 15 - 18, 2001

Centre "BIZKN" organized the collective stand on the "Chemie. Biotechnology" exhibition. This exhibition took place in Sport-Concert Palace "Peterburgsky" in St.-Petersburg. Some Centre's participants presented their production and projects on this stand (GOI named Vavilov, CNII SUDMASH, Bank "Bankirsky Dom"). This stand was organized specially for the meetings with Turku's delegation. Thise visitors (BIO-Lakso Co) plan to create a joint biotechnologic Centre in St.-Petersburg.

March 14 - 18, 2001

In St.-Petersburg (SKK) St.-Petersburg business-contact Centre was presented on the special regional exhibition "Cottage. Termovent". There were seven St.-Petersburg companies and four finnish companies on collective stand. Russian participants were "ElectroEcoTechnology", "Bankirsky house", "Strojpanel", "Strojcomplect-M", Energy Department of Russian Science Academy, Architecture Institute. Finnish participants were Centre in Kotka, Tourist bureau of Kotka, Inhabitation exhibition - 2002, CT-Centre. All participants received the special diplomas.

February 15 - 16, 2001

There was a meeting of shipping and shipbuilding working group in Helsinki. The chief representatives of International Ecology Centre, JSC "Experimentalny plant", JSC "Morflot", Russian Maritime Register, JSC "Proletarsky plant" and others were took participance in this meeting. Main questions were:
- final project of safety shipping in Finnish Gulf;
- new project concerning the ecology safety in Baltic Sea.
The protocol ("Opinion of the working groups") was prepared. The Russian delegation had acquantance with ice-broken service in Finland. Special international exhibition "Boat, yachts, small ships" was visited also.

January 22 - 26, 2001

There was a presentation of St.-Petersburg business-contact Centre in Turku. The programme included: visit to port of Turku, meeting in Bio-City, seminar on Silia Europa and other events. Mayor of Turku and Russian General Council took participance in all meetings. Directors of JSC "Trackservice", JSC "Experimentalny Zavod", Institute "Baltsudoproject", JSC "LMZ", Energy Department of Scince Academy, Bank "Bankyrski Dom" and others took participance in this visit. Mr.I.Lonsky - deputy Chief of International colaboration Department of External Affairs Commitee of Administration of St.-Petersburg - was a chief of the delegation.
There was accepted the decision about opening a Business-contact Centre in Turku in TAD-Centre (Centre of Development in South-West Finland). Mayor of Turku and Mayor of Kotka will meet in February for detail discussion about future contacts between two Centres in Finland and with St.-Petersburg.
