December 17-18, 2002

The visit to Finland of 12 directors of St.- Petersburg metal-treatment enterprises took place in this time. This trip was organized together with St.- Petersburg Subcontracting Centre and Kotka-Hamina Region of Finland Ltd. The delegation visited some enterprises in Kotka, Mantaa, Lappeenranta. There were discussed the problems and the main directions of the future joint project «Submet» (“subcontracting cooperation in metal-treatment”).

December 10, 2002

There was a business-meeting together with Russian immigrants in Finland in Kotka - Hamina region (16 persons). This meeting took place in Cultural –Exhibition Centre «Euroasia» (participant of BIZKON). The chiefs of the BIZKON and some St.-Petersburg’s enterprises – BIZKON’s participants gave some concrete proposals for the organization of the joint activities and joint enterprises in Finland and in St.-Petersburg.

December 03-04, 2002

The wooden-construction seminar took place in Kotka. There were more than 60 Finnish representatives and 25 St.-Petersburg’s directors and Chief specialists took participation in this seminar. There were 10 reports concerning the problems and the investigations in large wooden constructions. The visit to the wood plant in Hamina (Havesa) and near Lahti are confirmed the high level of the Finnish wooden technologies. Next “wooden” seminar will take place in Lahti in November 2003.

November 26-28, 2002

The working meeting was spent in Anjalankoski. The subject New Finnish project-ECOPARK- reatment and utilization of the industry and communal solid wastes. The directors and chief specialist from St.-Petersburg and Lenoblast took participance in this meeting (7 persons). There were discussed the main directions of the future joint projects INTERREG and TACIS. Finnish side will study some new Russian technologies in this branch and more competitive and effective new decisions will be chosen for the future project.

August 06-08, 2002

Construction and architect delegation visited Kotka. Chairman of St.-Petersburg Committee Mr. V.Hrenov and Chief of Economical Department of Foreign contact Committee Mr. K.Avdeev were as the Chiefs of this delegation. The mains of this business trip (which was organized by BIZKON) were to visit Building Fair and to discuss a new technology of the wooden construction. There were also discussed two joint projects: «REPRUS» (reconstruction and restoration) and «Subcontracting in metal-treatment». The directors of some St.Petersburg enterprises (16 Trest, Nordservice, Liteinaia chast-91, St.Petersburg Subcontracting Centre and others) took participance in this trip. Deputy chairman of Moskovsky region Mr. S. Babushkin took participance in discussion about reconstruction old 5-florbuildings.

June 11, 2002

The seminar-presentation of Finnish companies Huuhka Oy and Pocadel Oy was organized in St.Petersburg by BIZKON-SPb together with Science-Technical Society of Shipbuilder, named after Krylov. The name of this event was as «Special technologies and materials for the interieurs in shipbuilding and in construction». Many SPb specialists (more than fifty) visited this seminar (Admiralteiskie Verfi, Baltisky Zavod, Nordservice and others), BIZKON-SPb will help in future also to these finnish companies to more their activities in St.Petersburg.

June 04-05, 2002

There were some events in connection with the third Anniversary of the first business-contact Centre in Kotka. There was organized also the seminar during these event: «State and development of the tourism between St.-Petersburg and South Finland». More than 40 directors and representatives of the companies – members of BIZKON and of the SPb tourist companies took participation in this seminar. There were considered the offers of POSINTRA- finish company – main organizer this seminar. BIZKON – SPb gave some proposals concerning the development of business tourism and ecology tourism. There was accepted to create a new joint working group in BIZKON (representatives of St.-Petersburg, Kotka – Hamina, Turku).

May 28-29, 2002

There was a meeting of the non-traditional energy working group in St.Petersburg. There were considered the questions concerning the development of small hydro-power stations in Finland and in North-West Russia region. There was accepted to put the application (project TACIS) for the finance Grant receiving from EU. BIZKON-St.Petersburg will be as coordinator of this project. This application (project) "Renovation of the small hydropower station in Karelia and Lenoblast" will as a addition to the INTERREG-project (Finnish project of Kymenlaakso Polytechnik). It was consider also the other possible joint project concerning the decrease of some dirty mixes in the air along the Russian-Finnish border. The chiefs of JSC "INSET", Technical University, Russian Science Academy, Ceramic Centre and Kymenlaakso Polytechnic took participance in this meeting.
 

May 21-22, 2002

There was a seminar "Ecologic safety of Baltic Sea" in Hotel "Naantali". This very important seminar was organized by BIZKON-Turku together with Turku's Science Park. BIZKON-St.Petersburg and OZON company took participance in preparing the seminar's programme. More the 100 directors and specialists from St.Petersburg and Finland visited this "high level" seminar. There were as the speakers high persons in environment from St.Petersburg and Finland (Mr.V.Budarin, Mr.D.Golubev, Mr.Mikko Iokkonen and others). "Sunborn" company organized some discounts for the accomodation in Hotel "Naantali" during this event. There was prepared a Protocol according with seminar's results. The main point of this Protocol is a decision to begin a preparing of the joint project concerning the ecologic safety of Baltic Sea, first of all in the regions of new Baltic ports (Primorsk, Vysotsk and others). BIZKON will be as a coordinator of the future project.
 

May 16, 2002

Centre BIZKON took participation in the seminar-exhibition «Kymibusiness-2002» in Kotka. There was presented the stand «St.-Petersburg Business-Contact Centre» (Kotka, Turku) together with the stand «Kotka - Hamina Region of Finland», so this close cooperation began from the 1 of April. The activities of some St.-Petersburg enterprises in Finland were presented on the exhibition stand. Chief manager BIZKON-Turku Mrs Kirsty Pakkala also took participation in this event. General director of St.-Petersburg patent company «Gorodissky & partners», as a member of BIZKON, spoke with report on the seminar.

April 25, 2002

The seminar-presentation of the Finnish firm "Pukkila" from Turku (producing and marketing ceramic tiles) was organized by centre "BIZKON" in St.-Petersburg. The participants of a seminar: "Akva-Star" - construction of pools, "Projectservice" - design in construction, DSK-3 - construction, SANREMO - a network of shops, Russian museum - architects etc.

April 23, 2002

The presentation of BIZKON-Turku took place for the Administration, press representatives and also for the chiefs of the largest companies of the South-West Region of Finland. The chiefs of St.-Petersburg company OZON took participation in this event also. Chief manager of BIZKON-Turku Mrs. Kirsti Pakkala presented the working program of Turku’s Centre, which was agreed with the working program of Kotka’s Centre. There were organized some talks with Finnish companies («Sunborn» - about possibilities of the mounting Yacht-Hotel on the Neva-river, «Novo-Group» – about the partnership in telemedicine, «Matex» – about some orders for St.-Petersburg). There was agreed also the program of the future ecology seminar in Turku.

April 2-4, 2002

The joint meeting–seminar on ecology of the Baltic Sea was organised in Finland. This meeting-seminar was as a continuation of the "Primorsk finnish visit" on 21 of March. This meeting was devoted specially to the struggle with petroleum pollutions. 7 chief experts were included in staff of a delegation (among them the main engineer of port “Primorsk” Mr. A.Pospelov and a chief of a department of ecology security JSC “Transneft” Mrs. E Radchenko and also some representatives of the Russian shipbuilding and ecology firms). The meeting – seminar has passed in 4 places: in port of Hamina, on the bulk-oil terminal in Porvoo, in firm Lamor Oy and on the Finnish ecology saving vessel in port of Kotka. The basic purpose of visit was acquaintance with Finnish engineering and methods of struggle with petroleum pollution. The exchange of opinions has confirmed necessary of preparation of the Russian. Finnish project on measures ensuring ecological safety of the Baltic Sea.

March 20-21, 2002

The meeting of shipbuilding and shipping working group and also small seminar took place in St.Petersburg. There were also some Russian and Finnish representatives of the ecological branches. Mr.Taappani Salmenhara, the chief of Maritime Department of Kymenlaakso Polytechnic was elected as a new chief of shipbuilding working group from Finnish side. There were presented some reports by Mr. I.Pashkevich (Proletarsky zavod), Mr. V.Pylev (SredneNevsky zavod), Mr. V.Dudarenko (JSC Korablestroenie), Mr.M.Kohler (Finpro), Mr. P.Salmi (Kverner Masa Yards) and others. The big delegation (35 persons) visited port Primorsk on the next day. It was the day, devoted to Ecology safety of Baltic Sea. The visitors had acquaintance with the port and with Transneft ecology programme in this region. All members of delegation agreed about the necessity to joint the finnish- russian efforts in constant ecology monitoring for Baltic Sea.

March 4-7, 2002

The seminar “Construction and reconstruction in St.- Petersburg and in Finland” took place in Kotka. The main reports on this seminar were devoted to 300-Anniversary of St.-Petersburg. So Mr.Y.Bakei- the chief of Architect Committee Department took participation in this seminar. There were following main reports on this seminar: Konstantinovsky Palace (Mr. E.Polonuer), reconstruction, design of the house on Nevsky prospect (Mr. A.Chepik), fundament reconstruction (Mr. V.Ulitsky), Kronshtadt forts (Mr. V.Sadkov) and some others. Finnish information was about housing exhibition in Kotka, about new Maritarium, about new Trading Centre “Neptun” in St.- Petersburg, about some new projects of Eagle Group International. The visit to International Exhibition “FinnBuild-2002” in Helsinki also was included in seminar programme. Also there were some talks, for example, concerning the rose granite delivery for St.- Petersburg. 20 directors and specialists from St.- Petersburg took participation in this seminar.
