| 16-17 November There were two seminars and one exhibition in Kotka and Kouvola. All these events were jointed of one subject: improvements in maritime safety and in transport logistic. SPb delegation consisted from 30 directors and chief spscialists of SPb BIZKON’s enterprizes: Admiralteiskie Verfi, Prometey, Trackservice, Fenix Holding, Malahit, Ailot, Transfera-International and others. There were presented some finnish-russian projects concerning training and safety in shipping in Baltic Sea. There were discussed also some possible future joint projects. The subject of the exhibition was the presentation of the new informatization systems in transport logistic. Three St.Petersburg companies (T-Project, Croc-North-West, STM) and six finnish computer companies took part in this exhibition. Mayor of Kotka organized the reception for the participants of these events. | ||||||

| 15 November
BIZKON prepared the list of innovation and investment proposals of BIZKON
participants. This list was presented on the meeting in Russian Trade Representation in Helsinki. The group of BIZKON – companies took part in this meeting (Vyborg, Trackservice, Novaia Era, Transfera-International, Sparit). There were more than 20 finnish specialists on this meeting also (finance groups, banks, companies). The main goal of this meeting was to tell for Finnish potential investment about our innovations and investment proposals for the possible partnership in SPb and in Lenoblast. | 28 October
BIZKON was as assistant in organization and in spending in Saint-Petersburg
of the Maritime Board Meeting (There were 10 finnish participants). There
were considered following questions: - history of the fleets and of the maritime maps; - partnership between finnish and russian maritime veterans (one of the main question); - development of maritime tourism and Baltic sea festivals; - future celebrations of two ice-breakers (finnish - Tarmo, Russian – Krasin). Mr. Tapio Valinoro, chief of the finnish delegation and executive director of Regional Union Kymenlaakso, promised to support some joint projects for attraction of European financing for joint decision of some important maritime questions. |

| 25 October Some chiefs of BIZKON took part in the final seminar in Helsinki concerning REPNET-project (Interreg Program). This project started in 2002 year. There were considered two subjects in this finnish-russian project: restoration of the historical buildings and reconstruction (sanation) of the old 5-floor buildings (“hrushchevki”). Restoration of Peter and Paul Fortress, Pavlovski palace and others were as a result of REPNET. Other result of this project will be a participation of REPNET in SPb tender for the reconstruction of one building in Moscow district of Saint-Petersburg. | ||||||
| October 20-22,
2005 St.Petersburg business contact centre has organized
the business trip in Finland, Turku on the Exhibition “Women skills”. The
women-entrepreneurs and representatives of the organizations for the support
of business-women of St.Petersburg and Leningrad oblast (15 persons) took
part in this trip. There were Trade House VIMOS, Publishing House “WORLD”,
Bankirski Dom, “DEMETRA”, representatives from Luga, Vyborg, Tosno, Volhov
and others. The perspectives directions of cooperation were discussed during the business-meetings: - development of agriculture tourism in Leningrad region (Finnish experience in the archipelago of Region Turku); - Development and saving of national crafts; - Development of the network of female business support in the Baltic region. |

| 15 October There was a first event in Estonia after the opening BIZKON-departments in May in Rakvere and in Kohtla-Jarve. This event was as a creation of the first foreign virtual Russian museum. BIZKON began to prepare this event 1,5 years ago together with Russia museum. At last the first virtual Russia museum was opened in Ahtme library of Kohtla-Jarve. Director of Russian museum Vladimir Gusev was a chief of SPb delegation. | ||||||

| 26-28 September There was a visit in Saint-Petersburg of the delegation (12 persons) from South-East Finland. There were a members of two BIZKON working groups: shipbuilding (shipping also) and logistic. The seminar concerning maritime safety took place in NTO Krylova, other seminar (transport logistic) took place in Transport Committee. It was decided that the next seminar and meeting of the ship working group will take place in Severodvinsk (main question will be concerned of the cooperation in shipbuilding development). Finnish specialists visited also new Transfera-International terminal not for from Saint-Petersburg and NEVA-exhibition on Lenexpo. | ||||||

| 20 September BIZKON organized the visit of Finnish specialists to the oil port Vysotsk for the ceremony of the loading of the most large tanker (100 thousands tons). | ||||||
| 7 -10 September
There was a business delegation (~ 30 persons) to Turku (Days of Saint-Petersburg
in Turku). There were organized the following business round tables: - Technoparks - Maritime tourism - Shipbuilding and shipping - Transport logistic - ICT There were also some meetings and visits concerning biotechnology project Saintek, Pharmsynthez, RosPolyTechGroup). More than 70 finnish specialists from Turku and South-West Finland took part in these round tables, meetings and visits. |

2005 BIZKON-Kotka and BIZKON-St.-Petersburg
organized a Maritime meeting in Kotka. The main questions on this meeting
were: new Finnish Maritime museum in Kotka, new passenger line SPb-Kotka
(catamaran «Captain Korsak»), partnership between Russian and Finnish fleet
veterans. Admiral V. Ivanov was a chief the delegation (all 8 persons). Some questions were discussed on the seminar 31.05.05., but some other questions (veterans connections) were discussed on the board of «Katarina» vessel 1.06.05. The Russian and Finnish veterans on the island in Finnish Gulf laid of the wreaths on the memory monument of the Finnish miners who rendered the mines in Finnish Gulf after the Second World War. |

Two new BIZKON-Centers were opened in Estonia (Kohtla-Iarve
and Rakvere). The representatives of Committee for External Relations and
tourism, the directors of some SPb enterprises – member of BIZKON-Centre
(SPb, Kotka, Turku) took part in official SPb delegation (all 24 persons).
There were Proletarsky plant, Kosmos, Rosbusinesstour, Ergo-Luks, Bankirski
Dom, Reprom-Tour and others. Small “Triangle of growth” was created (big “Triangle” is a partnership between Estonia, Russia and Finland in Baltic Region). There are many subjects for the business partnership: water tourism, shipbuilding, ecology, ports. It will be used the experience of BIZKON-Kotka and BIZKON-Turku in the organization of Estonia works (big finnish delegation took part in the opening BIZKON-ESTI also). There were discussed some possible future projects: BIZKON-BALTIC, UNDERWATER Ecology, Baltic tourist ring, Technoparks, New transports corridors, women entrepreneurship. More... |

2005 Delegation of the
directors and specialists of SPb enterprises visited South-East Finland.
Kymenlaakso Region was known in SPb very well, but South Karelia Region
wasn’t know so well. The business trip consisted from several meetings in
Imatra (Development Centre), in Lappeenranta (Development Centre, Centre
Kareltek, TE-Keskus, Free custom zone), in Kouvola (Expertise Centre, EuroRussia),
in Kotka (Centre Datarina, Kotka-Hamina region development Centre). The main goals of this trip was to clear the possibilities for the creation of business in these regions, and also the possibilities for the receiving of financing support from Finnish Administrations and from others Centres and Funds. Results of the trip: BIZKON will prepare the proposals from SPb and will send these proposals for Finnish considerations. |

| 23-24.03 2005 Centre BIZKON has organized visit of Finnish wood engineering and power experts in St.Petersburg on an exhibition "DREVOTEKH" and International Conference “Actual questions in biofuel and bioenergetics. Export. Logistics. Finances”. The experts of South-East Finland (Kymenlaakso Politechnik, Agrosilva, Metsakeskus) and their partner from Estonia have visited also one of BIZKON’s participants - the firm “Baltcotlomash” (producer of low power boilers). This firm takes part in the reconstruction of Priozersk boiler-house (conversion from black oil to wood wastes). This project is carried out with the financial support of Denmark Environment ministry. Finnish experts have decided to prepare the offer (similar Danish) for other boiler-house in Leningrad region according the project FRESCO. The next seminar concerning the biofuel is planned to organize in Lappeenranta in the autumn of this year. | ||||||

15-17.03 2005
The Finnish-Russian project ECOPARK concerning the waste processing and
utilization was presented on the stand during the exhibition of a Forum
« Ecology of big city» in LENEXPO. Centre BIZKON (coordinator of project
ECOPARK from Russian side) together with Finnish Project Manage group organized
and prepared ECOPARK Project stand. Mr.Mika Horttanainen - Project chief
of research group, Mrs.Olga Oksanen – Project assistant and Mr.Antti Leskinen
– Project chief of working group have taken part in the exhibition from
Finnish side. More than 30 meetings and negotiations were spent. The results
of some meetings are very important for the Finnish-Russian cooperation
in the sphere of processing and utilization of wastes. Mr. A.Varshavsky
(BIZKON Centre) and Mr.Mika Horttanainen (Lappeenranta Technical University)
have represented the Project ECOPARK on the conference during Forum. Project
ECOPARK was awarded with the honorable diploma «For the development of the
Finnish-Russian cooperation in the sphere of processing and utilization
of wastes» by the Organization Committee of Exhibition.

| 15-16.03 2005 St.Petersburg Centre BIZKON, NTO Sudostroitelei and Education Centre of LAO “Admiralteyskie verfi” have organized the next Finnish-Russian seminar concerning the Arctic shipbuilding, the safety of ports and navigation and also the training of the shipbuilding specialists. | ||||||

| 17-20.02 2005 Centre BIZKON organized the visit of St.Petersburg delegation on the exhibition “Boat Show” in Helsinki. Finnish-Russian seminar and business-meetings concerning the development of water tourism was held within the framework of the exhibition. | ||||||
| In the same time the next meeting of BIZKON shipbuilding and shipping working group was held in Helsinki. The participants discussed the questions concerning the development of cooperation in the Arctic shipbuilding. | ||||||
