05-07.12.07 Kohtla-Jarve, Narva - éûåñóó, Estonia
 
During business mission of St.-Petersburg delegation in Kohtla-Jarve the meetings and negotiations concerning the development of tourism and cultural connections were held. Within the framework of the Russian-Estonian project CulTourism (“Crosborder Estonian-Russian cultural tourism development”) the representatives of St.-Petersburg have taken part in the Tourism seminar of Ida-Virumaa region and in the Meeting with representatives of “North-Estonian Tourism Foundation”, which were held in Narva-Joesuu. The participants of these meetings have decided to prepare the application in the new program «European Neighborhood Partner Instrument” 2007-2013 years. The development of the project CulTourism is supposed by the accent on study and use of a cultural heritage of manors for training youth and development of tourist routes.
 
14.11.07. Saint-Petersburg Centre BIZKON spent the seminar-presentation of the new Finnish transport-logistic terminal project. This terminal (all square – 1 000 000 m?) will be situated not far from Turku. There will be all transport connections here: airline, railway, road E-18, ports. Turku city is a main owner of this terminal. Half-state company Pilot Turku (management company of this project) considers that the terminal services will be more useful for the russian companies which have the export/import with Sweden, Norway, Germany and others Western countries. Finnish presentation of this project will be planned on the February 2008 year (in Finnish Consulate). Truckservice, SPARIT, Sterh, Ecohydrotecnik, Museum and others SPb companies took part in this seminar-presentation. Also Mr. Yurki Terva, council of Finland Consulate visited this event.
 
12-13.11.07. Saint-Petersburg  Centre BIZKON together with SPB Committee for External relations organized the Maritime Days in Saint-Petersburg for the big finnish group from Kotka, Turku, Helsinki (12 persons). Maritime Days were spent in Central Maritime-Military Museum (12.11.07.) and in Smolny (13.11.07).
There were considered and discussed the following important subjects concerning Finnish-Russian Maritime Partnership:
- preparation of the joint project concerning the cooperation of Baltic Museums;
- finnish experience in organization of Tall Ship Races (this experience is useful for Saint-Petersburg as an organizer TSR-2009 in Saint-Petersburg);
- organization in Kronshtadt of the voluntary rescue service (with finnish support).
There was prepared the Protocol according the decisions of this seminar. The representatives from Transport-Transit Committee Saint-Petersburg, Maritime Council and Assembly, Maritime museums and others took part in Maritime events.
Executive director of Kymenlaakso Regional Union Mr. Tapio Valinoro was a Chairman on the seminar.
 
05-07.11.07 Ðàêâåðå, Estonia
 
Centre BIZKON together with Committee for External Relations of St.-Petersburg have organized the business mission of St.Petersburg entrepreneurs and specialists in Rakvere, Estonia. The themes of discussion are the construction and management of SPA hotels, use of Estonian ports in the logistic of St.-Petersburg entrepreneurs, deliveries of the food industry products etc.
Simultaneously within the framework of the Russian-Estonian project CulTourism (“Crosborder Estonian-Russian cultural tourism development”) St.-Petersburg representatives have taken part in the Tourism seminar and in business meetings with “North-Estonian Tourism Foundation”. The Russian experts of the project CulTourism - representatives of International Charitable Fund «Roerich Heritage » have presented the preliminary concept of project ÑulTourism development - project «Baltic Manors. From the past in the future».
 
15-17.10.2007 Helsinki, Forssa  Centre BIZKON together with St.-Petersburg Association of greenery professionals and Committee for external relations organized the visit in Finland for the St.Petersburg specialists of landscape construction and gardening. The main organizer of this visit in Finland was Mr.Pekka Leskinen – Managing Director of the Finnish Association of Landscape Industries. There were in program the seminar with International consulting company “Ramboll”, visits to the largest Finnish plant nurseries: Harviala, Viksten, Puutarha Tahvoset, acquaintance with the Finnish parks and gardens in Helsinki and in Forssa. St.Petersburg experts are interested to develop the contacts with Finnish colleagues. The representatives of State enterprises for parks and gardens of St.Petersburg Administration and Committee for the State inspection and protection of historic monuments of St.Petersburg, the representatives of Forest-Technical Academy and College of building industry and municipal economies and others were in St.Petersburg delegation.
 
     
 
04-06.10.07. Kotka, Helsinki. Finland  BIZKON together with Housing Service Association organized the delegation to Kotka and Helsinki (17 persons). The main goal of this visit to discuss with finnish partners the questions of the possible partnership in Real Estate and Housing services.
There were representatives from Housing Committee, Housing Complex, Housing services, Housing cooperatives and others.
First meeting took place in Kotka. (Cursor Oy organized the meeting with South-East Finland specialists). On the next day the delegation visited International Real Estate Exhibition in Helsinki. The members of delegation received much useful information also during the meeting in Real Estate Education and Training Institute in Malmi (not far from Helsinki). There was decided to begin the preparation possible joint project, concerning education and training in Housing services.
 
     
 
02-05.10.07. Saint-Petersburg
 
Within the framework of Project “Crossborder Estonian-Russian cultural tourism development” there were organized the conference, round table and business-meetings for the Estonian delegation (20 participants) and St.Petersburg cultural, business and public representatives. The round table «Development of cooperation and partnership in the Baltic region on the basis of common cultural heritage» was held in Museum-Institute of Roerich family. The questions of a cultural heritage concerning the restoration of old manors, churches and castles were discussed.
Conference «Russian-Estonian crossborder cooperation. Common symbols of cultural tourism» took place in Smolny. The information about the realization of project “CulTourism” and perspectives of development were presented on the Conference. The representatives of Committee for External relations of St.-Petersburg, General consul of the Estonian Republic in St.-Petersburg Mr. Lauri Bambus and Culture Attache of the Estonian Republic Embassy in Moscow Mrs. Andra Veiedemann took part in this conference.
Simultaneously some representatives of Estonian Delegation took part in the Annual Travel exhibition of St.Petersburg “INWETEX”. The issue of “Event Calendar 2008 of North-East Estonia and St.Petersburg/ Leningrad region” was dated for this visit of Estonian delegation.
 
24-25.09.07. Saint-Petersburg  The numerous finnish shipbuilding delegation (20 persons) visited Saint-Petersburg for the International exhibition «Neva» and also foe some visits. Finnish representatives met on their exhibition stand with some Saint-Petersburg enterprises (Prometey, Proletarsky Plant, Sevzapspecavtomatika, Drakar and with some others). There were discussed some questions concerning subcontracting with Saint-Petersburg machinery and shipbuilding enterprises. General director of Admiralteyskie Verfi Vladimir Alexandrov receipted the delegation and he told about Verfi development. This visit was specially interested for finnish guests so new ice-tanker is constructing now here according with the finnish project (Aker Arctic Technologies).
 
     
 

21-23.09.07 Kohtla-Jarve, Narva, Estonia

 
Kohtla-Yarve, Estonia  There was an estonian-russian-finnish conference «Role of the information and advertising in cross-border cooperation» in Johvi. Ambassador of Russian Federation in Estonia, ambassador of Finland in Estonia, representative from Saint-Petersburg and Veliki Novgorod Governments, representatives from Estonian Parliament, representatives of information companies, and others (total more than 100 persons) visited this event (10 representatives from Saint-Petersburg). It were discussed many questions concerning the possibilities and ways of development for informatization systems. Also were considered some joint projects for development of considered some joint projects cross-border contacts. It was offered to spend next similar conference in Spring 2008 in Saint-Petersburg.
 
05-08.09.07. Kotka, Juvaskula. Finland  Bioenergy – is a very important subject in BIZKON activities. So the big group of specialists in bio-fuel and bio-energy visited seminar in Kotka (05.09.07.) and the exhibition in Juvaskula (6-7.09.07.). There were also several special visits in Juvaskula (Bioenergy association, VAPO, VTT).
There was very useful visit concerning first of all in receiving much information about equipment and technologies in wooden waste utilization for energy.
There were representatives from Proletarsky Plant, Nakma, GIPROCHIM-TECHNOLOG, Petrozavodsk’s Wood Treatment Plant, Baltkotlomash e.t.c.
 
     
 
08-11.08.07 Ida-Virumaa region, Estonia
 
Within the framework of the Russian-Estonian project CulTourism (“Crosborder Estonian-Russian cultural tourism development”) the visit of St.Petersburg delegation in North-East Estonia was organized. The purpose of this visit - acquaintance with objects of cultural tourism and preparation of the offers concerning the creation of new tourist routes connected to a cultural - historical heritage. The past visit has given a good opportunity to the participants of the project to get acquainted with ancient manors, fortresses and others cultural objects of Estonia. One of the results of this visit is the preparation of the Review of ancient manors of Northeast Estonia. St.Petersburg and Estonian Cultural, Business and Public Representatives will be acquainted with this Review during the future realization of the project.
 
     
 
19-21.06.07. Kotka Finland BIZKON delegation was invited in Kotka for the International Tall Ship Races (TSR – 2007). Also seminar was planed on this time.
Examination of the ships was very interesting. There were more than 100 ships in this event.
The seminar (in City Administration) was also very useful. Professor P.Kujala told about the development of the Centre of Maritime researches (Marikotka Centre) and about the future partnership with SPb partners. General director of CNII KM «Prometey» Igor Gorynun told that his Institute is ready to assist this development in joint metal researches.
There was decided that BIZKON will be as coordinator in joint works. There was decided also that the next meeting will take place in Saint-Petersburg in November. 8 persons were in BIZKON delegation: Prometey, Severny, NVK, Obercom, Sevzapspecautomatika.
 
     
 
25-28.06. Savonlinna Corporate Services of Savonlinna (Ost Savo) invited Saint-Petrsburg delegation of BIZKON for the acquaintance with region and for discussion of possible joint activities. There were 14 persons in delegation (SPARIT, Institute of Hospitality, Travers+, SPECTR, Rosbusinesstour, Russian museum, Reprom, NVK). It was very nice reception in new region for Bizkon.
Main activities of this region are woodtreatment, metaltreatment, tourism. So all visits were organized on these objects (3K, Restamaster, Fiber Laboratory and others).
It was accepted that it will be necessary to prepare the proposals from both sides and to offer the joint plan of business partnership.
After the visit Mayor of Savonlinna decided to ask Saint-Petersburg government to create in Savonlinna Information Business Centre of Saint-Petersburg (as a department of BIZKON).
 
     
 
18-19.06. Saint-Petersburg Naval and logistic delegation from Kotka was received in SPb. There was a presentation of the new directions of activities Kotka’s Administration for creation of the new logistic zone in Kymenlaakso. There was presented the new conception of Merikotka Centre development. There was discussed the possible joint project in Cross-border cooperation program. There was organized also the reception on Museum-Icebreaker Krasin. Russian and Finnish representatives confirmed that the project concerning Cooperation of the Naval Museums in Baltic region will be prepared. Finnish specialists also visited Lenexpo for “Boat-Show”.
11-14.06. Turku There was a visit of SPb delegation (15 persons) to International Entrepreneur’s Day in Turku. There were some seminars and round tables concerning Baltic region partnership. Besides there were organized the separate negotiations for russian representatives:
“Fund Rerich” – with museum Abo-Vetus (possible change by expositions);
“Vybor” – with TAD Centre (cooperation in Housing Branches);
“Suzuki-Neva” – with Motopants (finnish motto-bikes in SPb);
“Drakar” – with Aker Yards (possible subcontracting);
Bank “Bankirskiy Dom” – with some representatives in food industry;
“Museum Co” – about cooperation in using the old industry buildings for new goals.
   
06-08.06. Mikkeli BIZKON together with Committee of Foreign Affairs organized the visit of SPb delegation to Mikkeli (15 persons). There were directors and chief specialists in bioenergy (Poly-Nom, Giprochim-Technolog, Energ, Rospolytechles, Adin and others). It is very actual subject for finnish-russian partnership so this visit was very useful.
There were seminar and also the visits to some bioenergy companies. Some new possible future projects were discussed.
This visit was organized according with Finnish-Russian EU project concerning cross-border cooperation.
 
03-06.06. Saint-Petersburg Turku’ Days in SPb. The Days are organized constantly during more than 40 years (every two years in Turku or in Saint-Petersburg). Centre BIZKON was responsible (it was a commission of Committee of Foreign Affairs) for the business seminar and work-shop. Also BIZKON was responsible for the reception of finnish tourist firms.
04.06.0t. There was a seminar “New maritime policy in Baltic Sea” in Hotel “Ambassador”. More than 70 SPb participants took part in this seminar. This seminar was a main event of Turku’s Days. Also business work-shop was spent in Hotel “Ambassador”. There were more than 15 directors of finnish companies who took part in the talks with Russian partners (Prometey, Projectservice, Trackservice, Ecogidrotechnica e.t.c.).
20 directors of finnish tourist firms visited some tourist objects in Luzskiy district of Leningrad oblast in this day.
05.06.07. There was a seminar of finnish and SPb tourist companies in Hotel “Ambassador”. The future joint tourist plans were discussed.
 
18-20 May Kotka  There was a meeting in Joint Maritime Board Program. This meeting was joined with the celebration of 100-Anniversary of the famous oldest finnish ice-breaker “Tarmo”. The meeting consisted from two parts. First part was devoted to Tarmo celebration. Second part was devoted to water tourism development and also to the new possible projects (“Water tourism”, “Maritime museum Baltic net”). Representatives from SPb Maritime Council, Military-Maritime Museum, World Ocean museum (Kaliningrad) and BIZKON were in SPb delegation. There was decided that the next meeting will take place in SPb in November 2007 on ice-breaker “Krasin” (this ice-breaker is as exhibit of the World Ocean Museum).
5 May Saint-Petersburg  BIZKON organized the “round table” during the International Exhibition in Lenexpo “Horses”. The aim of this meeting was to discuss the conception of new possible joint project concerning the development of Horseman skills in Russia. This project is an actual now so there are many new private horse farms and ideas of the hippodrome designs in Saint-Petersburg. Yuri Ardatov from BIZKON presented the conception. Finnish representatives from Miehikkala, Mikkeli, Lappeenranta and Kouvola supported this conception. There was decided to send the Protocol of this meeting for consideration to Regional Union of South East Finland.
 
     
 
18-20 April Kotka, Helsinki There was a visit of SPb delegation to Kotka and Helsinki for the discussions and visits concerning estates and partnership. More than 25 specialists took part in SPb delegation (Remmontagstroy, Prometey, Vybor, Aktis, NTO shipbuilders, Obercom, and others). Cursor Oy organized 18.04.07. in Kotka for this delegation a seminar about the purchasing of new houses and services of these houses in Finland. Delegation visited of several exhibitions in Helsinki Exhibition Centre on 19 April. There were “Spring garden”, “Cottages”, “My house” and “Estate”. Russian Trade representative Valery Shliamin receipted the delegation later in this day. The subject of the meeting was a discussion about real problems in russian-finnish partnership. There was else interesting meeting on the return trip to SPb: famous finnish architector Hanny Laitila represented the new projects for Finland and for SPb. Some joint actions were planed for the future as a result of this new trip to Finland (first of all concerning the contacts in landscape industry).

The first conference “Development of Estonian-Russian crossborder cultural and tourism cooperation” of Estonian-Russian Project “CulTourism” took place in Smolny, St.Petersburg
 
13-14 March, St.-Petersburg BIZKON - St.-Petersburg together with BIZKON-Jyvaskyla organized 13 March the subcontracting seminar and work-shop for the some finnish companies from Seinajoki region (~ 200 km from Jyvaskyla). There were 10 companies who would want to find the partners in metal treatment in St.-Petersburg (Bjornsteel, Kometos, Eurosteel Group, Rumko, Pesmel and others). More than 35 representatives from St.-Petersburg enterprises took part in this event. The representatives from St.-Petersburg Subcontracting Centre and from Support Fund of Industries St.-Petersburg also spoke on the seminar. Seminar and work-shop were spent in Pavilion No.7 Lenexpo during International Technical Fair. Excursion on Kirovsky zavod was organized for finnish participants 14 March.

20-21 February, Kotka BIZKON organized the meeting between Finnish and St.-Petersburg Maritime Assemblies. There were St.-Petersburg representatives from St.-Petersburg Maritime Assembly, Navy-Maritime Museum, ice-breaker “Krasin”, Maritime Council on this meeting. There were discussed the main questions concerning of the partnership of fleet veterans and concerning of the water tourism in Finnish Gulf. Mayor of Kotka Henry Lindelef took part in this meeting also.
16 February, Tallinn
 
BIZKON delegation took part in Tourist Exhibition “TourEst” and in estonian-finnish-russian workshop concerning CulTourism Project. Fund “Roerich Heritage” (BIZKON participant) represented the interesting researches concerning the historical connection between Russia and Estonia.
The issue of “Event Calendar 2007 of North-East Estonia and St.Petersburg/ Leningrad region” was dated for this Exhibition.
 
31.01-01.02.07. Turku There was organized the subcontracting working seminar with the famous finish shipbuilding company Aker Finnjards (production of the biggest cruiser passenger vessels). There were 22 representatives from Finland and more than 60 directors and chief specialists of Spb enterprises (Prometey, Admiralteyskie verfi, Kanonerskiy Zavod, Morflot, Lift, Avangard, PFT, e.t.c.). There was very short seminars presentation part and the meetings and talk were as a main part of the seminar. The aim of this event was to find the real SPb subcontractors in steel constructions, in wooden interiors, in isolation materials, in electrotechnics, in labour cooperation and in others branches. There were organized the several visits to Spb enterprises during second seminar day (Amira-steel constructions, Fenix-mebel - wooden furniture, Avangard-electrical components and metal treatment). Marketing director of Aker Jards Mr. Jussi Voima and sale manager Mr. Reijo Ojala decided to spend these working subcontracting meetings twice in year. Next meeting will take place in June during the Turku Days in Spb.

There was a participation of BIZKON delegation in Tourist Fair in Helsinki. There was a finnish-russian-estonian workshop concerning the development of cross-border Cultourism project. Also two tourist companies - members of BIZKON (RosBusinessTour and RepromTour) took part in this work-shop.
