| 18 december 2008, St.Petersburg Centre “BIZKON” took part in the organization of Round table “World through Culture”. This event took place within the framework of Project “Baltic cultural triangle” of Roerich family Museum-Institute. Main discussing themes: Education and Publishing projects of Roerich family Museum-Institute and their partners, new education programs concerning the culture and cultural tourism, development of Russian-Estonian Project “Crossborder cultural tourism” and others.
Among of the participants of Round table are Rector of “Baltic Institute of Ecology, Police and Low” Reife E., President of International Charity Fund “Roerich Heritage” Bondarenko A., Vice-director of Institute of Finland in St.Petersburg Perova E. and others.

| 9-11 December 2008, Rakvere, Estonia
The Centre BIZKON together with MeTee Arengu Sihtasutus spent the seminar concerning Russian-Estonian projects in the sphere of Culture and Tourism within the frameworks of crossborder cooperation programs. 26 representatives of culture and business circles and Mayor of Johvi took part in this Seminar. Main discussing themes: the results and perspectives of development of Russian-Estonian Project “CulTourism”, preparation of new project “Baltic manors. From the past to the future”, change of art expositions, education in the Tourism. |

| 03-05 December Imatra,
Finland BIZKON organized a seminar in Imatra, concerning partnership in culture and tourism. This event was spend according with the project «Baltic cultural triangle».The seminar (Round table)was organized together with Regional Council of South Karelia (Mr. Urpo Moisio) and with International relation Department of Imatra (Mr. Heikki Laine). Saint-Petersburg delegation visited a future large tourist Centre on Saima «Rauha» and also some other tourist objects. Saint-Petersburg representatives from Hospitality Institute and from Roerih Fund were presented some offers for the possible future joint projects. BIZKON decided to develop the culture and tourism direction in future year. |

Kohtla-Jarve, Estonia There was a seminar according with the State Contract between BIZKON and Committee for External Relations. The subject was: «Development of cross-border cooperation on the basis of cross-border Clusters». There were more than 40 russian and estonien participants at this seminar. Also mayor of Kohtla-Jarve and representatives from Estonian Parliament and Trade Chamber took part in seminar. The main subject: partnership of cross-border clusters, participation in joint invest programs, using new innovations (for example, in new energetic technology program). There were also separate talks between entrepreneurs. The round table was organized also. Subject was as «Baltic culture triangle project» (Russia, Estonia, Finland). |

| 19-11 November Lappeenranta,
Finland Russian and Finnish specialists took part in working meeting concerning the preparation of joint project «Arctic weld». This in the first stage of the future big project «Arctic Shipbuilding». This project is discussing and preparing during two years by BIZKON and NTO Shipbuilders named after Krylov. Prometey is the main Russian partner in this project (Arctic Weld). Chief specialists from Admiralteyskie Verfi, Almaz, Mikron, CNIITS and Polytechnic University also took part in working meting. From finnish side there were representatives from Lappeenranta, Helsinki, Turku, Raahe Universities and Centers, and also from Maritime Cluster and Turku BIZKON Centre. Joint Application must be given to TEKES for the project financing at the beginning of January 2009. |

| 27-29 October There was a seminar in Kotka concerning new investment proposals of partnership in bioenergy (using the wood wastes in small power stations). BIZKON collected the delegation for this seminar. Cursor Oy (Development Center of Kotka – Hamina Region) was an organizer of this seminar inside the finnish-russian project «BIO-Integration». Alternative energy is a main subject of BIZKON activities during several years so famous academician Janush Danilevich (chief of Russian-finnish energy working group) took part in this event. The directors of St. Petersburg enterprises Giprohim-Technolog, Poly-Nom, Kachkin & Partners presented their invest proposals, which were interested for Finnish participants of the seminar. Representatives of Leningrad oblast also took part in this event. There were more interesting for them the visits to the small finnish power stations wooden wastes |

| 08-11 October There were St. Petersburg Days in Jyvaskyla. Development Centre Jykes asked BIZKON to help in organization of St. Petersburg business delegation for this event. Committee of External Relations was a main organizer of the visit St. Petersburg delegation. Also this Committee made a finance support for this event. There were more than 20 participants in St. Petersburg delegation (AGROVIT, Institute of chemistry of silicates I.V.Grebenschikova, Russian museum, St. Petersburg subcontracting Center, Novoye delo, Kachkin & Partners, ISTA e.t.c.). Also the representatives of two St. Petersburg Committees took part in these Days – Committee of external Relations (Victoria Alekseeva) and Environment Committee (Vladimir Sorokin, Marina Korobeynikova). There were several St. Petersburg presentations on the seminar. There were the visits to the different Jyvaskyla companies also. |

Kotka, Hameenlinna,
Helsinki There were several events concerning construction, municipal housing services and real estate. The big delegation of St.-Petersburg enterprises took part in practical seminar in Kotka (Cursor assisted in it organization). There were meetings with vice-mayors of Kotka and Hamina and also with architect or Hannu Laitila. Also it was a visit to Hameenlinna for the exhibition «INFIRE - 2008» (Invest Finnish Region). There were considered some real estate proposals from Finnish side. Also there were offered some proposals from Russian side. There was spent also the cultural meeting (with museums representatives). St.-Petersburg delegation also visited exhibition Finnbuild in Helsinki. Committee of External Relations of St.-Petersburg had financed partly this event. |

Anjalankoski,
Helsinki There was an environment delegation from St. Petersburg and Lenoblast (20 persons). There were specialists from AGROVIT, ElectroEcoTechnology, ECOPROM, Lenvodproject, GIPROHIM-TECHNOG, Institute of Hospitality, Lenoblast Administration e.t.c.).
There was acquaintance with the Anjalankoski activities in waste treatment and also with the ecology Centre Ecopark. Delegation was receipted by mayor Eero Mattilla. There was decided to begin the preparation of the joint project concerning new waste treatment technologies.
On second day delegation also visited international seminar and ecology exhibition in Helsinki. |

| 25-26 August
St. Petersburg BIZKON organized the program of the Finnish landscape delegation.
There were 12 specialists from Helsinki, Forssu, Turku e.t.c. Chief of delegation – president of Finnish landscape Association Pekka Leskinen. Their interests were in acquaintance with this sphere in St. Petersburg and also in developing of Finnish-Russian partnership. Committee of External Relations organized the seminar in Sunday. The guests also visited Russian Museum (Letniy Sad), LLc “Flowers” and some city gardens and parks.
There was decided to organize a visit of St. Petersburg’s specialists to Finland in spring 2009 year.
Also there was decided to begin a preparation of the joint project (for NP program) concerning partnership in landscape for the gardens and parks. |

| 24-26 July
Kotka There was a visit of St. Petersburg delegation to Kotka during traditional Maritime Days in Kotka. There were some useful events for St.-Petersburg delegation (representatives from St. Petersburg Maritime Council, CNII KM Prometey, Specproectautomatika, Sudmash, Reprom e.t.c.). The program included the visit to new National Finnish Maritime Museum VELAMO and meeting in Maritime Research Centre Merikotka. There was also discussion concerning future joint project “Baltic Maritime Museums”. |

25-29 June, 2008 There was a visit of St.-Petersburg business delegation to St.-Petersburg twin city Bordeaux (France) for St.-Petersburg Day.
There were directors of Kosmos, Severny, Russian Museum, Krogius Engineering, PSG, Institute of the Space equipment and BIZKON in St.-Petersburg delegation.
The meetings in Trade Chamber and with Bordeaux company representatives confirmed that there are some directions for partnership (construction, ecology, studies, optics, culture events). It was discussed also the question about possibilities of opening in Bordeaux the St.-Petersburg Information business Centre.
Next visit to Bordeaux is planned on the summer 2009.
It will be Forum “River – 2009” – event for boat constructors and for water tourists. |

10-13 June, 2008 The big St.-Petersburg delegation visited Turku for the European Entrepreneur Day (EDE-2008). This Day was spent in Turku in sixth year. More than 5 others European cities organize similar events also. There were some seminars (entrepreneur development and ecology problem) and also some formal and non-formal meetings during EDE-2008 in Turku. The representatives from Institute Hospitality, RESTEC, Bars, Kosmos, Travers+, Regionproject, PSG and others (more than 20 persons) were in St.-Petersburg delegation.
It is possible that similar Day will be organized in St.-Petersburg in future year according with the Agreement which was signed in June between St.-Petersburg and Turku. |

8 June, 2008 During World Economic Forum in St.-Petersburg there was signed the Agreement about Economic and Cultural Partnership between St.-Petersburg and Turku until 2011 year. This Agreement was signed by Governor of St.-Petersburg Valentina Matveenko and by mayor of Turku Mikko Pukkinen.
BIZKON will be on duty for some positions of this Agreement. General director Alexey Varshavskiy will be as a member of the Working Group (from Russian Side) of this Agreement. |
| 24 April, 2008 Chairman of Committee for External Relations of Saint-Petersburg Alexander Prokhorenko, Chief of Development Centre of Turku Kale Euro and General director of LLC “BIZKON” Alexey Varshavskiy signed in Smolny the Agreement about the opening in Turku of the official Saint-Petersburg Informanational business Centre. LLC “BIZKON” is an operator of this Centre activities. |

21-23 April, 2008 There was a seminar in Rakvere. The main subjects concerned of the new designs of SPA-Hotels and development of services for tourism. The seminar was spent in new Estonian SPA-Hotel.
It was very interesting for the construction participants of delegation.
There were also considered some results of the russian-estonian project “Cultural tourism” and were discussed the ideas for the future possible new projects in cross-border coop
eration program. |

18 April, 2008 BIZKON together with design-construct company REMIS (participant of BIZKON) organized seminar “Management of the invest-design projects”. This seminar was spent in Smolny and Committee of Foreign Affairs supported this event. There were more than 40 representatives of Russian and Finnish companies. REMIS presented their new invest project “Novosnegirevka” (new logistic Centre).
The main aim of this seminar is to attract SPb and Finnish companies to use the experience of REMIS company in invest activities. |

3-4 April, 2008 Centre BIZKON has organized the visit of the representatives of St.-Petersburg Greenery Professionals Association and TV “Country House” on the exhibitions in Helsinki «Own home” and «Own country house » and also the visit in the largest vegetative nursery of Finland “Puutarha Tahvoset ”. The experts of the St.-Petersburg companies "Flowers" and "Ozelenitel" have become interested of the use opportunity of Finnish landing material for gardening of St.-Petersburg. The negotiation of the company "Flowers" and “ Puutarha Tahvoset ” will be continued in a near future.
During visit the negotiation with the president of the Finnish Association of landscape industry Mr. Pekka Leskinen about development of cooperation between the St.-Petersburg and Finnish associations was held also. The visit of the Finnish experts to St.-Petersburg is planned to August 2008ã. |

26-29 March, Turku St.-Petersburg shipbuilding delegation visited Turku. This visit was organized by Aker Yards (famous finnish shipyard) and BIZKON Centers with support from Committee for External Relations. The main goals of this visit to find any ways for organization of subcontracting between finnish and russian shipbuilding companies. There were more 20 St.-Petersburg companies (Malahit, Almaz, Proletarsky zavod, Morflot, CNII Krylova, Prometey). The main finnish interests to subcontracting - metal treatment, metal constructions, ship painting, some works. These meetings will be continued.
Also the possible future joint project «InterIceShip» was discussed during this visit. It was decided that Finnish Maritime Cluster will be as a main coordinator in preparation this future project.
NTO shipbuilding and St.-Petersburg BIZKON Centre will be as the project coordinators from Russian side. |

3-6 March,
Kotka, Hamenlinna. There was a visit of St.-Petersburg delegation to Kotka and to Hamenlinna (Region Hame) according with the invitation of the Region Centre of Development.
There was a tourism seminar in Kotka. Specialists of Cursor Oy presented the culture places in Kotka-Hamina Region for tourism development.
Then delegation continues their trip to Hamenlinna. Their were more than 15 persons in St.-Petersburg delegation (Lift, Reprom, Fenix Holding, Vybor, Obercom, Prometey, NTO Shipbuilding, Krogius-Engineering, Roerich Fund and others).
There were contact seminar with Hamenlinna companies and also some visits, including famous Hamenlinna Fortress.
It was decided that new information business Center of St.-Petersburg will be prepared to opening in Hamenlinna. Some contacts between St.-Petersburg and Hamenlinna were installed during the contact meetings (metal/treatment, tourism, ecology, culture events). |

| 27-28 February,
St.-Petersburg LogyCity seminar was organized in Finnish Consulat in St.-Petersburg. BIZKON Centers of St.-Petersburg and Turku with Committee for External Relations were as the organizers of this seminar for St.-Petersburg logistic specialists. Pilot company from Turku presented the new large logistic transport terminal which will be constructed not far from Turku. This terminal will have the possibilities for railway, ship, airplane and trucks services. This terminal is interested in partnership with St.-Petersburg transport terminals. Finnish delegation also visited the new custom-transport terminal in Beloostrov zone «Severnye Vorota» (North Gates). |
