21 December St.-Petersburg There was a seminar in St.-Petersburg «Entrepreneur House». The subject of this seminar – «Possibilities in entrepreneur development in business triangle St.-Petersburg – Finland – Estonia». This seminar was organized by Economic Committee of St.-Petersburg and BIZKON. There were more 40 specialists of St.-Petersburg’ enterprises and also representatives from Finland (Kotka, Kouvola, Lahti) and Estonia (Kohtla-Yarve). There were discussed some real proposals (including joint projects for cross-border cooperation programs and also BIZKON – results 2009 and BIZKON – plans 2010.
 
     
 
14-16 December Kouvola There was a seminar in Kouvola «Accomplishment and gardening». There were more 25 representatives from Kurortny District Administration of St.-Petersburg and Municipal regions of Kurortny District. All questions were discussed on seminar and also during meetings and visits (Kouvola Agency of economic development, Environment Center and others). There was decided to begin the preparation of two joint projects: experience in accomplishment; cleaning of Razliv lake in Sestroretsk.
 
     
 
7-9 December Lahti There was a seminar with Lahti Development Center (LAKES), concerning possible business partnership with St.-Petersburg enterprises. There were LenTISIS, Lenvodproject, Prometey, ProfiStroy and others (all – 17 directors from St.-Petersburg). Ecology (cleaning of ground waters and of the lakes) and wastes (new plant for the waste burning) are the more perspective subject for the partnership.
 
     
 
1 December There way a press–conference (round table) in ITAR-TASS for Spb journalists concerning “Cross-border partnership with Finland. Development of business-contacts.” Representatives from Cursor Oy, Spb Support Industry Fund, Group of Hotels TURRIS and BIZKON told about their activities on finnish market. The main subject of this event was a Turris presentation of Leikari Hotel (in Kotka) as an excellent place for the finnish-russian meetings, seminars and for the rest also.
 
October 07-10 2009 Finland, Helsinki, Hameenlinna The delegation of gardening and landscape design experts of St.-Petersburg and Leningrad area visited Finland (Helsinki, Õàìååíëèííà). Among the participants of delegation are the representatives of Russian museum (Summer garden), Museum-park “Peterhof”, "Maxigarden", "PIK", exhibition company "SIVEL" and others. The delegation has visited the exhibition "«GreenTech" in Helsinki and has taken part in the seminar concerning the care of plants in urban conditions and has got acquainted with the experimental street of Viiki, where the researches of trees survival are carried out depending of the ground condition, climatic conditions, street coverings etc. Hameenlinna has acquainted the visitors with the historical and national parks and has presented last landscape projects of city.
 
     
 
05-07 October, Lahti, Finland BIZKON organized the delegation to International conference « Possibilities of partnership in construction and municipal services ». Saint Petersburg Representatives from Spb Construction Committee, Construction Union, Construction College, Croc Northwest, Municipal services Association and others. Main activities of this conference is to organize the joint studies and learning in construction and municipal services. There were some useful proposals on Finnish and on Russian round tables during the conference. All these proposals will be included in final protocol of the conference. New joint Application for the financing from ENP? Programme was discussed during Conference.
 
     
 
September 22-24 2009 Estonia, Kohtla-Jarve, Rakvere Within the framework of business visit to Estonia the seminar and business meetings with the representatives of Rakvere and Kohtla-Jarve Administrations and with the businessmen of Ida-Virumaa and Laane-Virumaa regions were held. The main discussed themes: preparation of the joint projects with financing from EU concerning: - development of the BIZCON Centres network for the support of entrepreneurship and international business activity in regions (project BIZCON - Baltic Innovative Zone of Co-Operative Networks); - development of crossborder cooperation in culture and tourism (project MUSCO - Museum Cooperation&Communication). As a result of visit the partners of the future project MUSCO in museum cooperation (St.-Petersburg - Northern Estonia - Southeast Finland) are predefined and the decision is accepted to submit the application under the program IBPP « Support to EU - RUSSIA Cultural Cooperation Initiatives”. The preliminary plans of measures and the budget of BIZCON project also are discussed.
 
     
 
24-26 August Kouvola, Hamenlinna, Forssa BIZKON together with Committee of external Affairs, organized the visit of Spb (Kurortny region) and Leningrad oblast municipal department representatives to Kouvola, Hamenlinna, Forssa. The aim of this trip was to acquaintance with the Finnish system of the waste Collection, Disposal and Treatment. The delegation (more than 20 specialists) visited waste polygon in Kouvola, Hamenlinna and Forssu. There were many meetings and talks. Some new joint projects concerning the relieving of the Finnish Experience may be prepared as a result of this trip.
 
     
 
June 29 – 30. 2009, Kotka There was a meeting concerning partnership of Spb with Kotka-Hamina Region in export – import, studies and joint projects. This meeting was organized together with Cursor Co.
 
June 24. 2009, Saint Petersburg There was an important day in BIZKON history so the first BIZKON was opened in Kotka 24 June1999 year. There was a seminar concerning finnish-russian partnership. More than 70 participants (officials, BIZKON members, representatives from all Centres in Finland and in Estonia) took part in this event Spb Governor Valentina Matvienko congratulated BIZKON with this event.
 
June 9 – 12. 2009, Turku Spb delegation (12 persons) took part in European Entrepreneur Day . There were seminar and MachMaking. There were presented three Spb reports on ecology seminar. Some very perspective contacts, took place during MachMaking (Nord-West Technical University, Ecoprom, Kosmos).
 
May 14-15. 2009 Kotka There were tree events in Kotka. Popov’s seminar (first radio-connection took place from Kotka)
Entrepreneur’s meeting Spb entrepreneurs jffers three proposals for joint works: linemet production, ship-hotel reconstruction, under-water archeology in Baltic See. 25 persons were in Spb delegation.
 
     
 
28 - 31 March, 2009. Centre BIZKON has organized business visit to Finland (Kotka, Hameenlinna, Helsinki) «Russian-Finnish cooperation concerning accomplishment and gardening» with visiting of the Finnish vegetative nurseries. Within the framework of visit the St.-Petersburg participants have visited the exhibition «Spring garden », have taken part in the seminar, business meetings and negotiations. The ways of cooperation and exchange of experience in sphere of landscape design, accomplishment of territories and gardening of cities were discussed. Russian specialists represent the reports about the competition - exhibition «Imperial gardens» in St.-Petersburg, Mikhailovsky garden of State Russian museum in May - June 2009 and about forthcoming restoration of Summer garden, and also report about the Perspectives and problems of Russian-Finnish cooperation concerning the deliveries of vegetative materials and development of the Russian vegetative nurseries. Besides the questions concerning the training in sphere of landscape-park culture, the researches in Finland of vegetative populations from Russia and the norms and rules of the sanitary control of plants were discussed. The Russian participants - experts from State Museum "Pavlovsk" and State Museum "Peterhof", "Pulkovo-Flowers" Co., “Petrostroy Northwest” and others have carried out some other negotiation in vegetative nurseries and during the seminar with the Finnish experts about the nomenclature, prices and conditions of deliveries of the Finnish vegetative materials and about use of the Finnish experience in the restoration and the care of plants. As a result of the seminar and negotiations the arrangements about the continuation of joint activity are achieved: - The Finnish experts plan to take part in «Imperial gardens» of Russian museum; - The general director "Pulkovo-Flowers" together with the director the largest nursery of Finland «Puutarha Tahvoset» have agreed to prepare the offers and to continue negotiation about the creation of joint vegetative nursery of the big plants in territories "Pulkovo-Flowers"; - To organize contacts of the St.-Petersburg educational institutions on landscape design and gardening with University HAMK (Hameenlinna) and with Professional school “OMNIA”; - To organize participation of the St.-Petersburg experts in October 2009 in the exhibition ” Green Tec Exhibition ” and in the seminar concerning the care and preservation of old trees
 
 
11-12 March, Saint-Petersburg Big group of finnish specialists in metal treatment from Hame and Jyvaskyla Region took part in Technical Fair (in Lenexpo). BIZKON and Ykes organized for them the working seminar (work-shop). More than 30 Saint-Petersburg specialists took part in this seminar. There was also the visit to Saint-Petersburg producing company PSG (metal treatment).
 
     
 
19-21 February, Hameenlinna, Finland There was an opening of new Saint-Petersburg Information Business Center BIZKON in Hameenlinna (Finland, Hame and Forssu regions). Big Saint-Petersburg delegation (more than 20 persons) of different enterprises visited this event. Mayor of Hameenlinna Tapani Hellstun and chief specialist of Saint-Petersburg Committee of External Affairs Tatiana Vladimirova greeted of the guests of the opening ceremony. Chiefs of the Development Hame Centre told about the main activities of the region. Most interest subjects for partnership are the following: tourism, environment, metal-treatment, education, culture. There are four Saint-Petersburg Information business Centers in Finland now (Kotka, Turku, Juvaskyla, Hameenlinna).
